Coca Cola T-shirt Design Competition by UNIQLO

When was the last time you designed anything for Coca Cola? UNIQLO is inviting you to take part in a very challenging T-shirt design competition!

This competition solicits T-shirt designs based on the theme of “Coca-Cola” from countries all around the world. There are absolutely no restrictions on age, gender, nationality, or the like, and submissions from outside of Japan are permitted.

OBJECTIVE
Download a template and create t-shirt designs on the theme of “Coca-Cola”. Designs must be two-dimensional, e.g., in the form of a painting, an illustration, a graphic, CG or a photograph, and be premised on its ability to be successfully commercialized as a T-shirt design. You can work on the full area of both front and back side of the T-shirt.

Thursday, August 4 – Monday, September 12, 2011

METHOD FOR SUBMITTING
Please read the“Click here for detailed submission instructions” page and then submit from the “ENTRY” page in the website (linked below).

ELIGIBILITY FOR SUBMISSIONS
There are absolutely no restrictions on age, gender, nationality, or the like, and submissions from outside of Japan are permitted.

SCREENING METHOD
Designs chosen through an initial screening by UNIQLO and Coca-Cola will be announced over the website. A grand prize, judge’s prizes, and general prizes will be awarded to the piece that receives the most votes in a popular vote and pieces chosen through a screening by our special judges.

  • Grand Prize x 1:
    US$10,000
    A special limited edition copy of “Coca-Cola” by Assouline
    A set of Red 111 Navy Chair made from 111 recycled PET bottles jointly created with Coca-Cola and Emeco, and the Original aluminium Navy chair by Emeco.
  • Most Voted Prize x 1:
    US$5,000
    A standard edition of “Coca-Cola” book by Assouline
    A set of Red 111 Navy Chair made from 111 recycled PET bottles jointly created with Coca-Cola and Emeco, and the Original aluminium Navy chair by Emeco.
  • Judges’ Prize x 5:
    US$3,000
    A standard edition of “Coca-Cola” by Assouline signed by the judges
  • Runner-Up Prize x 3:
    US$1,000
    A standard edition of “Coca-Cola” book by Assouline

All ten finalists will get their T-shirt designs made and sold across Uniqlo’s worldwide store network, as well as receive a one-off set of costume Coca-Cola bottles with their artwork.
